| DAY 3 | ||||||||||||||||||
The third day concluded with interactive panel discussions from a team of industry authorities and marketing experts, including Kathy King Sales Director for AT&T Wholesale Specialized Services, Robert Ball CEO of OfficeArrow, LLC and Lorrie Thomas Web Marketing Strategist, Consultant, and Professor at University of California, Santa Barbara. These innovative and successful industry figures talked about new strategies that enable mainstream businesses and discussed new arrivals to the Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) billing and Alternate Payments world. The audience heard that for businesses, the Internet changes everything -- and nothing at all. For example, it enables companies to instantly reach their customers and economically tailor messages to them based on demographics, buying habits and other information. Yet it doesn't free these companies from the constant challenge of building and maintaining distinct, durable services, brands, and economical online payment options. With AT&T’s introduction of Information and Entertainment Transaction Billing, the LEC billing landscape is changing and opening new opportunities for business. Following a break, ILD’ General Counsel, Read Morton, spoke to the audience about the importance of best practices in business and the state of regulatory affairs. Read offered advice on how to better serve the customer including improved training of customer service representatives, improved training of sales representatives, and implementing better reporting. Mr. Morton’s presentation concluded with the point that across the industry we all have a vested interest in preventing cramming.ILD’s Kathy McQuade and Dennis Stoutenburgh provided and update on the Company’s payment processing division including an overview of ILD’s expanded service offerings and recently enhanced reporting, to provide customers with historical access to better manage their business.The conference concluded with remarks from Mike Lewis about ILD’s focus on growth. Mr. Lewis impressed upon the audience that Partners in Profits 3.0 should demonstrate ILD’s collaborative approach to partnership with its customers. Mike reinforced the company’s commitment to systems and services and thanked all the guests for making Partners in Profits 3.0 a great success!
